Sharing a track
When you share, all tracks, routes and waypoints that you have currently got active will be shared.
It is basically the equivalent of saving a GPX file on the server, and clicking the URL is like loading that GPX again.
You cannot cannot currently delete a shared track - if you need one deleting please email admin@gpxeditor.co.uk with the details and I will do it for you.
You can overwrite one you have already saved (although you can't overwrite another users' - each user's saved GPXs are in their own virtual subdirectory).
First, log in
The link to log in is at the top, just to the right of the centre.
You can do it while you have tracks/routes/waypoints on screen, it takes you to a different screen, but they are remembered while you log in.
You can choose one of several external login providers for authentication, that you may already have an account with (Google, Microsoft.)
When you log in for the first time, you will be asked to specify a user name for this site, and that is then linked to your login. All the GPXs you save have your user name for this site included in the URL.
Now, you can arrange the tracks, routes, and waypoints that you want to share.
Everything on the screen will be shared, if you want anything not to be included, delete it prior to sharing.
Then right click on the map (not on any particular track, route or waypoint)
The 'Share' menu item should be there.
When you click it, you are then asked to specify a name and a description.
The name should contain only alpha numeric characters - no spaces or special characters. This forms part of the URL for the shared GPX.
The description is shown to users when they access the shared GPX.
When you click OK, it should come back with a URL via which you the GPX can be accessed in the future.
